I'm re-discovering something I've ignored for a long time.

Music.

I think I became disillusioned with the music scene after some not-so-good experiences in high school, but I'm actually listening to music a lot more than I ever have in the past. I'm branching beyond my "soft-wire mommy" of Elliott Smith and Radiohead. I am actually planning on buying a few CDs! I haven't bought a CD since "A Basement on a Hill."

I listened to Fiona Apple's much anticipated album: "Extraordinary Machine" in it's entirety today. Extraordinary Machine is a great first song. Definetly caught my attention. It was very strong in the beginning, but it wasn't strong throughout. I think I was expecting more, since it's her first album in six years, and I think she has one of the best voices in the world. I still plan on buying the album. Maybe it will grow on me more. Welcome back Fiona; I've missed you. Remember the good times we had when I was 12?

I made my own customized radio station on Yahoo. I'm kinda excited about it. Radio usually sucks, but with this, it suggests music they'd think I like, and it's free. Why the hell not?

It's my 3.5 year anniversary with Don. I love you babycakes.
